Your Doctor Should Consider Nutrition
Regardless of the medication being used, your doctor should consider the potential for long term vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Failure to do so can lead to additional health problems for you. Is a Multi Vitamin Enough?
Although a good place to start, a multi vitamin is not always enough to correct these deficiencies. Often times a therapeutic dose is required to overcome the deficit. The best thing you can do is to have your doctor run appropriate lab testing to measure for vitamin and mineral deficiencies every 6 months for as long as you are taking the medication(s).
